29 weeks!

29 weeks...72 days to go...

Okay, so since my last post I've been in a mad mood...lol. Just in a funk that I can't seem to shake. So this post, like the last, may seem a little "loom & gloom". I do apologize.

I should update that I took the 3 hours glucose test yesterday and that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I'm hoping that is a good sign and that it means my body digested the sugar better the 2nd time around. I'm thinking that if I don't get a call by tomorrow afternoon I am in the clear for Gestational Diabetes, but will know for sure at my appointment on Thursday.

The size of baby this week is a Butternut squash. Please hold while I go look this veggie (?) up...
Interesting...
We've graduated to a loaf of bread on the other site. Hmm..so either way she's about 16 inches and 2.5 pounds.

Here are a couple of pics I took this evening...so I would have pictures to post :)

How far along? 29 weeks 6 days
Total weight gain: 26lbs
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: It's been hard to get to sleep the last few nights. Just uncomfortable. Mainly my back...toss & turn until I eventually end up almost sitting up to fall asleep.
Best moment this week: Getting a pedicure last night with Kelly!

Miss Anything? Tonight I miss breathing...she must be really high tonight.
Movement: Still lots of movement...every hour at least. Ever since I 1st felt her hiccup she's had the hiccups just about everyday I think. Sometimes they last pretty long!
Food cravings: Chick-Fil-A french fries!!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Lunch meat
Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: No...contractions have really slowed down (and my water intake has gone up)
Symptoms: Just bought another pack of Zantac <3 Lower back pain is coming back and shortness of breath as I mentioned up there. Oh! And it's getting really hard to get out of bed. It strains my back if I just try to sit straight up...have to do that side roll thing...ha-ha...go ahead and laugh ;)
Belly Button in or out? Oh, so I didn't think it would pop...but it has gotten a bit more shallow! It may just get flat before these last few months are done!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Ugh...pretty agitated this last week
Looking forward to: My appointment on Thursday...hearing that everything is just fine...sugar, weight, etc. & I'm meeting a doctor I haven't met before, so that is a little nerve wracking too. Hopefully she's just as supportive of natural birth as the rest!

28 weeks

28 weeks - I used to be excited about this...until 3:46PM today when the dr office called. Failed the 1 hour glucose test. 3 hour test...here I come! I blame my father's genes...
Alright, so I'm slowly getting over this. I just really hope that I pass the 3 hour test. I have had such an easy pregnancy so far, I just don't want anything to go "wrong".
So at 28 weeks we have baby the size of a small cabbage (approx. 17in 2.9lbs). We're still the size of that purple lunch box according to the other site.

How far along? 28 Weeks 5 days
Total weight gain: 23lbs
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: Pretty good this week. It's a little more uncomfortable. The belly is getting heavier.
Best moment this week: I enjoyed the weekend. Spent most of Saturday with my sister, BIL & niece which was really nice. And my hubby & I enjoyed a nice Sunday breakfast out yesterday :)

Miss Anything? Can't really think of anything for this week...

Movement: Yep, she's a mover & a shaker. I feel her every hour it seems. I felt hiccups for the 1st time last night & then she had them again this AM :)
Food cravings: Starbucks must put crack in their coffee b/c I've needed coffee ever since that PSL two weeks ago!! I always have decaff though...tastes just the same
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Still have contractions. Dr said to make sure I call if I have more than  4 an hour...& drink more water...

Symptoms: Heartburn (regulated still), restless legs & this GROWING belly ;)
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy...unless the dr calls with bad news ;) Have been in a bad mood since
Looking forward to: October. My favorite month.

27 weeks!

The 3rd trimester is here! That means 12 weeks until the "due" date. It's really hard to believe that I've been pregnant for 27 weeks, and only a few short months to go! Good thing I feel like we are pretty ready for everything.

We went on a hospital tour this past Saturday. It was awesome! I felt really good when we left (minus the part where it made it very real that I will also be a hospital patient and could possible go under MAJOR surgery while there...just sayin'). The nurse we had was super nice and the hospital seems like it is on board with everything Bron and I want out of this labor. If I haven't already expressed this on here (which I think I have not) I will have an all natural birth - unless for medical reasons some sort of intervention needs to happen. With the group of doctors that I have plus some of the nurses and other staff at the hospital, and most importantly my supportive husband, I know we will have the birth experience that we desire. Plus having my mom there for an added layer of support for both Bron and I is going to be tremendous. And I think I'm actually excited about giving birth...haha!

This Thursday is our last (natural) childbirth class. I feel like it has really got us thinking and to start preparing for birth. I'm a little sad for it to end!

Starting Friday I now go to the dr every two weeks. A little...disruptive...but I guess it's better than going every week...oh wait, I'll have to do that in two months haha! Oh well. But this Friday I had to take the sugar test aka Gestational Diabetes test. I'm a little nervous. We'll see how it goes.

How far along? 27 weeks 5 days
Total weight gain: 22lbs
Stretch marks? No & still holding my breath...I feel like they are right around the corner.
Sleep: Sleep is getting a little harder. I wake up at least once still and it is getting a little harder to get comfortable & fall back asleep.
Best moment this week: There were so many, I had a really great weekend!

Miss Anything? Mmm coffee. I had a decaff pumpkin spiced latte on Saturday and had to have another cup of decaff today. It's like once I popped I can't stop! Hah!
Movement: I have felt her less this weekend, but I'm wondering if it is because I was up and moving around so much this weekend.
Food cravings: Anything pumpkin after that PSL!
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: I've had contractions off & on all weekend. Just BH...not worries!

Symptoms: Still taking Zantac daily & fatigue has made a come back.
Belly Button in or out? Inny!
Wedding rings on or off? I've got the whole set on this week, yeah! ;)
Happy or Moody most of the time: Very happy!
Looking forward to: Fall! I hate/love when Florida teases us with these "cooler" weeks. But our house is ready for our "fall" :).

Here are some bump photos for the week!

This is from today 27 weeks 5 days

This was from last week, outside of our birthing class at 27 weeks 1 day

Here is a bump growth picture update!!

26 weeks!

94 more days until December 6. Today is Labor Day and Bron and I are taking the day off ;). We've been busy busy these last few weekends with the help of a lot of people. I can now look back at the (2) times I broke down in what is now Olivia's room crying because I was just so overwhelmed by all we had to do. Well, I have 94 days left and all the hard stuff is behind us. Nothing to worry about, silly pregnancy hormones! Haha! Although, we have learned that our house is a bit too small for us!! But we are definitely making it work.

This weekend Mom came. It was great to have her here for so long and we already miss her! She and Bron really did a great job painting Olivia's room. I have posted a few *sneak peak* photos of the nursery below.

In other news...Bron and my mom both felt Liv in the middle of her dance party! So not just one strong kick...but her multiple random twitch-like dance moves!! I know this is going to sound weird...but it helps make her feel more real (baby-like) now that other people can feel her too :) Bron and I felt her little feet this AM too! She's just so active all the time & I love it!

How far along? 26 weeks 5 days
Total weight gain: 23lbs
Stretch marks? Not yet...holding my breath!
Sleep: Sleeping pretty good still...waking up a little more in the middle of the night.
Best moment this week: Just this weekend was so great!

Miss Anything? I'm getting more & more ready for my regular body back. I am very eager to feel "normal" again...have a beer again...have a normal weight again...lol
Movement: She moves a lot...love watching this belly jump!
Food cravings: Always something sweet! But I am trying to cut back and really keep to eating the healthy stuff now that the 3rd trimester is coming.
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: Nope

Symptoms: Have started taking Zantac daily per the doc...so that is a huge relief! Other than that my back has been acting up this week but Bron really has learned to give great massages! (lucky girl!) :)
Belly Button in or out? Same as last week...shallow but inny!
Wedding rings on or off? I wear my engagement ring outside the house...usually take it off while I'm at the house.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I'm pretty happy most of the time.
Looking forward to: The next few weeks and tying the little details together!

The floor play center is our mock glider - that's where the glider will go.

Art by Rebecca! <3 -going to go over the changing table

25 weeks!

14 to go!

Baby is the size of an eggplant! &/or this super awesome lunch box:
This week's photos are from Sloan's 1st birthday party! It just amazes me how fast a baby's 1st year goes, and how much they develop into little people in this time. We had our nephew's 1st birthday party just a few short weeks ago & to see these little babies walking, babbling and just exploring their environment is so cute to watch!

Jenny (nephew baking), Sloan and I (Olivia baking)

Sloan & I
Sloan just finished with her cake eating and she enjoyed her 1 year old birthday cake :)

How far along? 25 Weeks 4 days
Total weight gain: 22lbs
Stretch marks? Nope..but the line is creeping up above my belly button now
Sleep: Pretty good these days!
Best moment this week: Probably yesterday. I just felt so awesome and it's always nice to be with family on the weekends!

Miss Anything? Nothing that really sticks out for this week
Movement: She makes my belly dance all the time. Sometimes I'll put my hand on my belly & feel her move from the outside, but have no idea from the inside. I guess I'm just use to her little movements now. My favorite is feeling her in the AM when I wake up :).
Food cravings: I didn't have any real cravings this week either. Although, that Cami Cake yesterday was pretty amazing!
Labor Signs: No, I haven't felt any BH this week that I've noticed either.

Symptoms: I still have heartburn, but it has lightened up a bit (thankfully!). Still uncomfortable in the ribs from time-to-time, and now just under my ribs in the center. I'm not sure what that's all about...
Belly Button in or out? Still in. I have a feeling it will stay in.
Wedding rings on or off? Still just wearing my engagement ring.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy. I go through these waves of feeling such joy with our lives and where we are at! (Which is a bit of a change from last weekend when I was crying b/c the rooms weren't coming together haha...so the waves of emotion are definitely present!)
Looking forward to: I'm hoping FIL & Bronny can fix the guest room today so that we can get Liv's room cleared for painting next weekend! Mom comes on Friday (which is also a 1/2 day for me & my last 4 week check up)!! So I'm pretty excited for all of that :).

Playing catch up, again!

Man, I have not been good at keeping up with this weekly blog lately! So I left off at 22 weeks, I'm on week 24 now, going on 25...

Baby is now the size of an ear of corn (which is always going to make me think of Mayeling from my mom page now!). She is also about a pound and a half. On the bump for dad's article my baby is now the size of a baseball glove.

Kind of funny. I can tell she is longer now when I lay on my side. I can feel where her hands are compared to her feet. I'm always surprised at how long it feels like she is stretched out. Although, I'm pretty long...long fingers long toes, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised if she comes out on the longer side ;).

She's really active at night. It's so cool to just watch my belly jump from the gymnastics class she takes on the inside of my belly. Rebecca was here this last weekend and got to feel Olivia doing her jungle gym moves.

I also started noticing Braxton Hicks contractions. It's a pretty strange feeling. But it is kind of a new & excited thing that I am happy to experience.

I had another little mini breakdown about the two rooms on Sunday...but no fear because Rebecca was there to the rescue ;). After a few lists were made we were off to shop...till we dropped. And I feel SO much better about the rooms now. I have a clear, finished view of what I am going for and what the outcome is going to look like. I just needed a little girl time! Men, they just don't understand decorating...at least not my man! Haha!

With that I will show you Olivia's rug that we picked up on Sunday :)

& here is my 23 week photo:

I haven't taken my 24 week photo yet, I need to do that tonight. I'm feeling an ice cream picture again!

How far along? 24 weeks 5 days
Total weight gain: As of last week...21lbs
Stretch marks? Nope... Brown line below my belly button, yes. Very thin & light though.
Sleep: Sleep is going pretty well
Best moment this week: Probably this whole weekend. It was really nice having family in town. I remember looking around at the dinner talbe on Saturday night and just felt completely calm & happy. Love those Saks!

Miss Anything? Just my old body. I hate felling so restricted. I'm hoping picking up the workouts again will help in this department. I just feel so immobile already...not good!
Movement: Multiple times a day!
Food cravings: Sweets & Tijuana Flats queso...
Gender: Girl :)
Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: My wonderful rib pain has come back to haunt me this week. I also have heartburn everyday...multiple times a day. It's the best ;).
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? Wedding band: off Engagement ring: on together they are double trouble!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Pretty happy all the time. I've been easily agitated lately, but I think that's a part of getting bigger...
Looking forward to: Our 1st birthing class on Thursday night!!!

That about does it for this post. Thanks for joining me this week. I will leave you with this:
I had a dream about Olivia the other week. She was tiny, cute and had lots of dark brown hair. Sometimes I try to picture what our lives are going to be like when she is here. How we will change, having an added person in our family and I get overwhelmed with joy. And then fear comes, lol. But mostly I feel very excited for the future!! :)

22 weeks!

I do realize that I have skipped a week :) These last two weeks have been a little rough, prego-wise. But I am taking the time tonight to do an update so I don't get too far behind.

So, this week we are going between a baseball glove (so weird) or a papaya. She is one whole pound now!! And my, oh my, I can tell, as I am also getting bigger. Here are some pictures to prove it...

Bron decided he should be in the picture this week - 21 weeks

4 weeks, 10 weeks & 21 weeks

This was a few days ago when I felt huge...

& 22 weeks

How far along? 22 weeks 4 days
Total weight gain: I suppose I'm up to 19lbs now...going to make it a veggie week ;)
Stretch marks? No

Sleep: Pretty good
Best moment(s) this week: There were a lot of good moments since the last time time I filled this out!

Miss Anything? Not too much this week. I just officially feel pregnant. All over, head to toe.
Movement: Same as last week. Bron felt her move again though. She kicked him 3 times last week! This week she is doing more sudden movements, or what feels like full body movements. She really likes it when I play her music. She must get that from her daddy :).
Food cravings: Sweets as always
Gender prediction: It's official...we have a GIRL!!
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In...getting very shallow...
Wedding rings on or off? On for now. Getting tighter and tighter...will probably have to just wear one next week.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy :)
Looking forward to: Getting started on changing our two spare rooms around.

Anatomy scan update!
OK, so many of you know that we had her anatomy scan last Friday. She is still a she, and she's a healthy she!
Bron and I took the afternoon off so we could enjoy knowing for sure the gender, have a nice lunch & what else but SHOP! We did indeed have a nice lunch and then we went to Buy Buy Baby and started our registry. I'm pretty excited about it & our choices. We had a lot of FUN doing it too!

We have also decided on baby's 1st name...if you missed it this was the post from Facebook:
It's official! Her name is Olivia <3

So we have a name...Olivia Butrimas...Her middle name is still in the making!

Nursery update!
With the news of confirmation, comes doubt & uncertainty of the nursery "theme". I think I still like the crib that I posted a few weeks ago. We did like the lavender color for the walls, but I think I'm thinking more neutral now...grey. I really like these two styles:

I really like the butterfly mobile in this one...

(same site, I just can't find the link to this particular post)

I'm not really sure what style type these are considered...I guess just clean, modern & fresh?
But I am still going with the color pallet of light lavender, pink, lime green and maybe some bright blue!

Oh & I just love this bookcase...

Olivia's room will be stacked with books!! I love them!!

Bron and I were in Lake Mary yesterday & I wanted to share these pictures from yesterday. I'm very blessed to have such great, long-time friends who mean the world to me!
